How to generate a plantuml diagram

Tips on editing a PlantUML Diagram using Eraser
  • Try multiple diagram types. Eraser offers multiple diagram types including architecture, sequence, flowchart, and entity relationship. Try different types to see which one your PlantUML code would best be represented as.
  • Try different editing methods (requires signing in to Eraser). Eraser offers three different ways to edit a diagram. You can edit using AI prompts, directly editing the Eraser syntax, and click-dragging elements using Eraser’s visual editor.
  • Try collaborative editing (requires signing in to Eraser). Once signed in, you can simply share the link to a file or diagram with a collaborator to work together on a diagram in real-time.
  • After making edits, if you need Eraser code to be translated back to PlantUML code, you can use any generic LLM (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to convert it.

    Yes. Click “Save and Edit Diagram” to open it in Eraser, where you can edit using diagram-as-code syntax or the visual GUI.

    Plain English, a nested list, or a code snippet. You can also paste excerpts from requirements docs, transcripts, or knowledge-base articles.

  • Can I use this from an AI agent?
